A camera crew from Bangkok was in Ubon and did interviews with local residents. I thought I'd share the interview they did with me. For more interviews visit: This Youtube Link
What a great and fun 2019 we had. Throughout the last year we got to meet quite a few new people who also became regulars. We got to meet some new Teachers here in Ubon and surrounding areas. A lovely family who we got to know very well back in 2014 or 2015 came back to Ubon again. It was amazing to have a conversation with their kid - Sunny- who last time we saw him was wearing Diapers...and we got to meet his little sister for the first time. Great memories.
We had a lot of fun with the local University and their seasonal festivities...the Halloween event will especially be remembered. Many things in and around Ubon opened up and new developments happening almost on a weekly basis. The Ubon Candle Festival was spectacular as every year and drew crowds from all over Thailand. We were busy throughout the year with caterings, which are always fun...especially if you get to Cater the Mercedes VIP customer appreciation event...another catering to remember. There was a camera team in Ubon recording "The voices of Ubon". This project brought Ubon another notch closer together and also lets others know what Ubon and their people are like. Songkran....lets not forget about Songkran. Thailands New Year party held in the middle of April. Is it just me, or does this never get boring? If you never experienced Songkran in Thailand, it MUST be on your bucket list. I will not say more ;). Good-bye 2019. Hello 2020. Let's see what you have in store for us this year. If it will be anything like last year, we're all in! It is already starting with "Beyond Meat". Soon we will have the plant based meat substitute at Peppers for everybody who is curious about it to try. It is a first for Ubon. |
